Some of the songs

The 2012 festival took place in the emptier and more peaceful parts of Scotland. This made it great for a songwriters retreat. Shennanton house, ~32 songwriters, 5 tutors, the band, great catering made for the birth of 10 collaborative songs.  These included A ghost of me (with Chris Whiting and Boo Hewerdine), The other side of me and Feel alive (both with Berit MJ) and A taste of what I’m missing (with Michael Brown with some fairy dust from Boo Hewerdine), the later one performed on Friday, see photos)… . Add to that the best audience a songwriter can ever have, the amazing stage and environment of the Bladnoch Distillery, a great band (Joe Bennett on electric guitar, Chris Blanden on bass, Josh on drums, Boo Hewerdine (co-writer) on keyboards, Michael Brown (co-writer) on guitar), great arrangements (Boo Hewerdine and Joe Bennett) to make Tiki’s one week at the UKSF a great experience. A video of that performance is available on YouTube at  http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ik278af8pYo.
