I was lucky enough to play twice at SoFar sounds this year, once at the Empire Theatre in Liverpool in February and the second time in Leeds on the 29th October 2018. I even had the opportunity to attend Sofar Manchester as a guest of American band Hope Country who I met during our Leeds performance. I had been looking forward to play this amazing event for a very long time and had been applying (and continue to) so Autumn, incidentally my favourite season, felt like a gift, with these 3 invitations lining up.

Sofar puts on hundreds of intimate shows each month around the world. The atmosphere is cosy and the audience so passionate about music and listening that it is a dream for any music artist who wants to share their soul the time it takes for a few songs, a few smiles, a few melodic hugs. From the dream of passionate music lovers wanting to hear the music to be played and doing something about first in a living room, there are, at the time of this post, over 400 cities that host a SoFar monthly event. You too can take part of this experience by attending an upcoming date in your city through http://bit.ly/findasofar. For a new gig every day, along with playlists, features and more, subscribe to Sofar at http://bit.ly/subscribetosofar.

I performed Swollen, The Unscripted and Your Way, to mix songs from the debut album and the then upcoming one. The performance was filmed by Nathan Fogg, Olivia Ferrara and Stefan Gandhi, edited by Nathan Fogg with audio by Ronan Peaker and was posted on YouTube where you can now watch the live performance of “The Unscripted (aka Under Your Spell)” at Sofar Leeds on October 29th, 2018 right here! Sofar also links to it at https://www.sofarsounds.com/videos/tiki-black-the-unscripted-aka-under-your-spell-sofar-leeds. The Unscripted is one of the songs from the upcoming album and you can reserve your copyi here right now!
