Voting (The importance of)

I know that voting can seem like a waste of time especially when there is so little to chose from and when your choice might not win. But believe me, the satisfaction of having tried, of having fought, of having moved away from the sidelines is its own rewards as is the knowledge that you are either responsible for a great choice or worked on at least preventing a terrible choice, even though these remain a question of perspective. So vote, not for our ancestors who did not have the right, not for our children who need an example, not for our conscience that constantly needs appeasing, not even to punish or to dis-empower a party as if we would want that level of monster control, but for yourself, to give yourself the power to continue to believe you can make a change.
