The article Inspiration from Samuel Coleridge Taylor was first published on the Samuel Coleridge Taylor foundation website at https://sctf.org.uk/2012/05/01/tiki-black-inspiration-from-samuel-coleridge-taylor/. TheMay the 1st, 2012
posted the article on the websiteI explained why I wrote this peiece in a later edition of the article on Fussy Tongue at https://fussytongue.com/samuel-coleridge-taylor-deep-river/. Hilary Burage, from the Samuel Coleridge-Taylor foundation asked me to write about how I came to know about the great Black British composer and how he impacted me both as a songwriter and as a person. This article was my response to her invitation. As you read the article, you will soon realise that I answer the latter questions but not the first at all. That is because I cannot remember the circumstances under which I came across the music of the Black British composer. I have been excited, reading the comments on the original site, through my article, some people discovered the talented musician.
